14 “For if you forgive people their wrongdoing,[a] your heavenly Father will forgive you as well.(A) 15 But if you don’t forgive people,[b] your Father will not forgive your wrongdoing.[c]
How to Fast
16 “Whenever you fast, don’t be sad-faced like the hypocrites. For they make their faces unattractive[d](B) so their fasting is obvious to people. I assure you: They’ve got their reward!

16 “When you fast,(C) do not look somber(D) as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
