¹¹ Then the devil *left Him; and behold, ^(A)angels came and began to serve Him.

¹³ And He was in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by ^(A)Satan; and He was with the wild animals, and the angels were serving Him.

⁴³ [^[a]Now an ^(A)angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.

^8 (A)Be of sober spirit, ^(B)be on the alert. Your adversary, ^(C)the devil, prowls around like a roaring ^(D)lion, seeking someone to devour. ^9 [a](E)So resist him, ^(F)firm in your faith, knowing that ^(G)the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your ^[b]brothers and sisters who are in the world. ¹⁰ After you have suffered ^(H)for a little while, the ^(I)God of all grace, who ^(J)called you to His ^(K)eternal glory in Christ, will Himself ^(L)perfect, ^(M)confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

¹² For our ^(A)struggle is not against ^[a](B)flesh and blood, but ^(C)against the rulers, against the powers, against the ^(D)world forces of this ^(E)darkness, against the ^(F)spiritual forces of wickedness in ^(G)the heavenly places.
