^11 (A)“I baptize you with water ^(B)for repentance, but ^(C)he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you ^(D)with the Holy Spirit and ^(E)fire.

⁷ And he preached, saying, ^(A)“After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. ^8 (B)I have baptized you with water, but ^(C)he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

^16 (A)John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but ^(B)he who is mightier than I is coming, ^(C)the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you ^(D)with the Holy Spirit and with ^(E)fire.

⁵ for ^(A)John baptized with water, ^(B)but you will be baptized ^(C)with^[a] the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

²⁵ And as John was finishing his course, ^(A)he said, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. No, but behold, after me one is coming, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’
