⁶ “Well now,” said the chief priests, picking up the money. “According to the law, we can’t put it into the Temple treasury. It’s the price of someone’s blood.”

⁷ So they had a discussion, and used it to buy the Potter’s Field, as a burial place for foreigners. ⁸ (That’s why that field is called Blood Field, to this day.)
