²² And he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has this man done? I have found in Him no guilt demanding death; therefore I will ^(A)punish Him and release Him.”

19 Pilate then took Jesus and ^[a](A)scourged Him.

³⁷ But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us in public without trial, ^(A)men who are Romans, and have thrown us into prison; and now are they sending us away secretly? No indeed! But let them come themselves and bring us out.”
