⁶⁹ Meanwhile, as Peter was sitting in the courtyard, a girl came over and said to him, “You were with Jesus, for both of you are from Galilee.”^[a]

⁷⁰ But Peter denied it loudly. “I don’t even know what you are talking about,” he angrily declared.
