² “^(A)You know that after two days ^(B)the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be ^(C)handed over for crucifixion.”

^3 (D)At that time the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered together in ^(E)the courtyard of the high priest named ^(F)Caiaphas; ⁴ and they ^(G)plotted together to arrest Jesus covertly and kill Him. ⁵ But they were saying, “Not during the festival, ^(H)otherwise a riot might occur among the people.”

14 ^(A)Now ^(B)the Passover and Festival of Unleavened Bread were two days away; and the chief priests and the scribes ^(C)were seeking how to arrest Him covertly and kill Him;

² for they were saying, “Not during the festival, otherwise there will be a riot of the people.”

Preparing the Passover

22 ^(A)Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the ^(B)Passover, was approaching.

² And the chief priests and the scribes ^(A)were trying to find ^[a]a way to put Him to death, since they were afraid of the people.
