15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, (A)to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.

15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability.(A) Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more.
