⁵⁵ Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?^(A) Isn’t His mother called Mary, and His brothers James,^(B) Joseph,^[a] Simon, and Judas?^(C)

¹¹ And the crowds kept saying, “This is the prophet Jesus^(A) from Nazareth in Galilee!”

²² They were all speaking well of Him^[a] and were amazed by the gracious words that came from His mouth, yet they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”^(A)

⁴² They were saying, “Isn’t this Jesus the son of Joseph,^(A) whose father and mother we know? How can He now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”
