⁵⁵ Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?^(A) Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers James,^(B) Joseph,^[a] Simon, and Judas?^(C)

³ Isn’t this the carpenter,^(A) the son of Mary,^(B) and the brother of James,^(C) Joses, Judas,^(D) and Simon? And aren’t his sisters here with us? ’ So they were offended^(E) by him.

¹² After this, he went down to Capernaum,^(A) together with his mother, his brothers,^(B) and his disciples, and they stayed there only a few days.

¹⁴ They all were continually united^(A) in prayer,^[a] along with the women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.^(B)

⁵ Don’t we have the right to be accompanied by a believing wife^[a] like the other apostles,^(A) the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas?^(B)

¹⁹ But I didn’t see any of the other apostles except James,^(A) the Lord’s brother.
