Matthew 13:34-36

³⁴ All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables, and without a parable he did not speak to them,

³⁵ so that that should be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from [the] world's foundation.

³⁶ Then, having dismissed the crowds, he went into the house; and his disciples came to him, saying, Expound to us the parable of the darnel of the field.
