^16 (A)But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.

¹⁷ For truly I say to you that ^(A)many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

^23 (A)Turning to the disciples, He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see the things you see;

²⁴ for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see the things that you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things that you hear, and did not hear them.”

¹⁷ And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, ^(A)Simon ^[a]Barjona, because ^(B)flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

²⁹ Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? ^(A)Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
