⁴ How is it that he went into the house of God and ate the Bread of the Presence, which was not lawful for him and his companions to eat but was reserved^[a] for the priests? ⁵ Or haven’t you read in the Law that on every Sabbath^[b] the priests in the Temple violate the Sabbath^[c] and yet are innocent?^{[d] 6} But I tell you, something greater than the Temple is here!
