² Now when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what ^(A)is not lawful to do on a Sabbath!”

¹⁴ But ^(A)the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus ^(B)had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, “^(C)There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

³ And Jesus responded and said to the ^[a](A)lawyers and ^[b]Pharisees, “^(B)Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?”

¹⁰ So ^(A)the Jews were saying to the man who was cured, “It is a Sabbath, and ^(B)it is not permissible for you to carry your pallet.”

^23 (A)If a man receives circumcision on a Sabbath so that the Law of Moses will not be broken, are you angry at Me because I made an entire man well on a Sabbath?

¹⁶ Therefore some of the Pharisees were saying, “This man is not from God, because He ^(A)does not keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying, “How can a man who is a sinner perform such ^[a](B)signs?” And ^(C)there was dissension among them.
