Matthew 12:15-21

¹⁵Being aware of this, Jesus left there. Many followed Him, and He healed all of them [who were sick], ¹⁶and warned them not to tell [publicly] who He was. ¹⁷This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:

“Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen;
My Beloved in whom My soul is well-pleased;
I will put My Spirit upon Him,
And He will proclaim justice to the nations.
¹⁹
“He will not quarrel, nor cry out loudly;
Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
²⁰
“A battered reed He will not break,
And a smoldering wick He will not extinguish,
Until He leads justice to victory.
²¹
“And in His name the Gentiles (all the nations of the world) will hope [with confidence].”^(A)
