Commissioning the Twelve

10 Summoning his twelve disciples,^(A) he gave them authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out and to heal every^[a] disease and sickness.^[b](B)

¹⁸ Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.^(A)

³ Then locusts came out of the smoke on to the earth,^(A) and power^[a] was given to them^(B) like the power that scorpions have on the earth.^(C)
