ମୋଶା ଓ ଏଲିୟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯୀଶୁ
(ମାର୍କ 9:2-13; ଲୂକ 9:28-36)
17 ଛଅ ଦିନ ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ପିତର, ଯାକୁବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଭାଇ ଯୋହନଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନେଲେ ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରକୁ ଗଲେ। ସେଠାରେ ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଥିଲେ। 2 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ବଦଳିଗଲା। ତାହାଙ୍କର ମୁଖ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଭଳି ଝଲସି ଉଠିଲା। ତାହାଙ୍କର ପୋଷାକ ଆଲୋକ ଭଳି ଧଳା ଦେଖାଗଲା। 3 ହଠାତ୍ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଦୁଇଜଣ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଆସି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ହେଲେ। ସେମାନେ ଏଲିୟ ଓ ମୋଶା[a] ଥିଲେ।
4 ଏହା ଦେଖି ପିତର ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଭଲ ହେଲା ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛୁ। ଆପଣ ଗ୍ଭହିଁଲେ ମୁଁ ଏଠାରେ ତିନୋଟି ତମ୍ବୁ ଟାଣି ଦେବି। ସେଥିରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ, ଗୋଟିଏ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟଟି ଏଲିୟଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ।”
5 ପିତର ଏ କଥା କହୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ ମେଘଖଣ୍ଡ ଆସି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଢାଙ୍କି ଦେଲା। ମେଘମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଆକାଶବାଣୀ ହେଲା, “ଏ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ମୋର ପୁତ୍ର ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ। ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ମୁଁ ବହୁତ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କ କଥା ମାନ।”
6 ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଏ କଥା ଶୁଣି ଅଧିକ ଭୟଭୀତ ହୋଇ ପଡ଼ିଲେ। ସେମାନେ ଭୂଇଁ ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିଗଲେ। 7 ଯୀଶୁ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛୁଇଁଦେଲେ। ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ଠିଆ ହୁଅ। ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ।” 8 ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଉପରକୁ ଗ୍ଭହିଁଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଛଡ଼ା ଆଉ କାହାରିକୁ ଦେଖିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

17 Now (B)after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, [a]let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
5 (C)While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, (D)“This is My beloved Son, (E)in whom I am well pleased. (F)Hear Him!” 6 (G)And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and (H)touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
4 Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.(D) Listen to him!”(E)
6 When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. 7 But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.”(F) 8 When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
