¹⁵ People do not light a lamp and put it under the bushel basket; rather, they put it on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.^(A)

²¹ He said to them, “Is a lamp brought in to be put under the bushel basket or under the bed and not on the lampstand?

The Light of the Body

³³ “No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a bushel basket;^[a] rather, one puts it on the lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.^(A)

A Lamp under a Jar

¹⁶ “No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar or puts it under a bed; rather, one puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.^(A)

² “Speak to Aaron and say to him: When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.”^(A)

³⁷ You shall make seven lamps for it, and the lamps shall be set up so as to give light on the space in front of it.^(A)
