⁹ Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,

¹³ took palm branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted,

¹⁴ Jesus found a young donkey and rode on it, fulfilling the prophecy that said:

³⁹ For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’^[a]”

³⁷ When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.

⁹ Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,

¹⁵ The leading priests and the teachers of religious law saw these wonderful miracles and heard even the children in the Temple shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David.”

But the leaders were indignant.

Jesus Heals the Blind

²⁷ After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”
