³¹ So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the ^[a]maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they ^(A)glorified the God of Israel.

⁸ Now when the multitudes saw it, they ^(A)marveled^[a] and glorified God, who had given such power to men.

⁴³ And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, ^(A)glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice ^(A)glorified God, ¹⁶ and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a ^(B)Samaritan.

¹⁷ So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? ¹⁸ Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

^16 (A)Then fear ^[a]came upon all, and they ^(B)glorified God, saying, ^(C)“A great prophet has risen up among us”; and, ^(D)“God has visited His people.”

^8 (A)“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire.

³³ And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”

Idolatry at Lystra

^8 (A)And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. ⁹ This man heard Paul speaking. ^[a]Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, ¹⁰ said with a loud voice, ^(B)“Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.

² And ^(A)a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, ^(B)to ^[a]ask alms from those who entered the temple; ³ who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. ⁴ And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” ⁵ So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. ⁶ Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: ^(C)In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” ⁷ And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. ⁸ So he, ^(D)leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. ^9 (E)And all the people saw him walking and praising God. ¹⁰ Then they knew that it was he who ^(F)sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

¹¹ Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch ^(G)which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed.
