⁵ Or have you not read in the ^(A)law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple ^[a]profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?

⁹ ‘And on the Sabbath day two lambs in their first year, without blemish, and two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with oil, with its drink offering— ¹⁰ this is ^(A)the burnt offering for every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.

^22 (A)Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, ^(B)but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. ²³ If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because ^(C)I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?

¹⁷ Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them, “What evil thing is this that you do, by which you profane the Sabbath day?

²¹ ‘Speak to the house of Israel, “Thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, ^(A)I will profane My sanctuary, ^[a]your arrogant boast, the desire of your eyes, the ^[b]delight of your soul; ^(B)and your sons and daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword.
