17 Malamnya Yesus pergi ke rumah itu bersama kedua belas rasul-Nya. 18 Selagi mereka makan, Ia berkata, “Percayalah kalau Aku bilang bahwa salah seorang dari kamu akan mengkhianati Aku, seorang yang sedang makan dengan Aku saat ini.”

19 Mereka menjadi sangat sedih mendengar hal itu. Tiap orang berkata kepada Yesus, “Tentu saja bukan aku!”

20 Yesus menjawab, “Ia adalah salah satu dari dua belas orang di antara kamu, dia yang mencelupkan rotinya ke dalam mangkuk yang sama dengan Aku. 21 Anak Manusia akan meninggalkan dunia ini seperti yang dikatakan Kitab Suci. Tetapi celakalah dia yang menyerahkan Anak Manusia untuk dibunuh. Lebih baik baginya jika ia tidak pernah dilahirkan.”

17 And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.

18 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?

20 And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.

19 They were saddened, and one by one they said to him, “Surely you don’t mean me?”

20 “It is one of the Twelve,” he replied, “one who dips bread into the bowl with me.(A) 21 The Son of Man(B) will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
