⁹ As^(A) they were coming down from the mountain,^(B) He ordered them to tell no one what they had seen^(C) until the Son of Man^(D) had risen^(E) from the dead.^{(F) 10} They kept this word^(G) to themselves, discussing what “rising from the dead” meant.

²⁵ For when they rise^(A) from the dead,^(B) they neither marry nor are given in marriage^(C) but are like angels^(D) in heaven.

³¹ “But he told him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.’”^(A)

⁴⁶ He also said to them, “This is what is written:^[a] The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day,^(A)

⁴¹ not by all the people, but by us, witnesses appointed beforehand by God, who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.^(A)

³⁴ Since He raised Him from the dead, never to return to decay, He has spoken in this way, I will grant you the faithful covenant blessings^[a] made to David.^(A)[b]

³ explaining and showing that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead: “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah.”^(A)

³¹ because He has set a day when He is going to judge the world in righteousness by the Man He has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”^(A)
