Mark 6:2-4

² When the Sabbath^(A) came, he began to teach^(B) in the synagogue,^(C) and many who heard him were astonished. ‘Where did this man get these things? ’ they said. ‘What is this wisdom^(D) that has been given to him, and how are these miracles^(E) performed by his hands? ³ Isn’t this the carpenter,^(F) the son of Mary,^(G) and the brother of James,^(H) Joses, Judas,^(I) and Simon? And aren’t his sisters here with us? ’ So they were offended^(J) by him.

⁴ Jesus said to them, ‘A prophet^(K) is not without honour^(L) except in his home town, among his relatives, and in his household.’
