Mark 5:39-41

International Standard Version

³⁹He entered the house^[a] and asked them, “Why all this confusion and crying? The child isn’t dead. She’s sleeping.” ⁴⁰They laughed and laughed at him. But when he had driven all of them outside, he took the child’s father and mother, along with the men who were with him, and went into the room^[b] where the child was.

⁴¹He took her by the hand and told her, “Talitha koum,”^[c] which means, “Young lady, I tell you, get up!”

After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. ⁴¹He took her by the hand^(B) and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).^(C)
