Mark 2:13-17

¹³ And He went out again by the seashore; and ^(A)the entire crowd was coming to Him, and He was teaching them.

Levi and Sinners Called

^14 (B)And as He passed by, He saw ^[a](C)Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting in the tax office, and He *said to him, “^(D)Follow Me!” And he stood up and followed Him.

¹⁵ And it *^[b]happened that as He was reclining at the table in his house, many tax collectors and ^[c]sinners ^[d]were reclining with Jesus and His disciples. For there were many of them, and they were following Him. ¹⁶ And when ^(E)the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they were saying to His disciples, “^(F)He is eating and drinking with tax collectors and ^[e]sinners!” ¹⁷ And hearing this, Jesus *said to them, “^(G)Those who are healthy do not have need for a physician, but only those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
