6 Ma Gesú disse: «Lasciatela fare; perché le date fastidio? Ella ha compiuto una buona opera verso di me.
7 Perché i poveri li avrete sempre con voi; e quando volete, potete far loro del bene, ma non avrete sempre me.
8 Ella ha fatto ciò che poteva; ha unto in anticipo il mio corpo per la sepoltura.

6 “Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7 The poor you will always have with you,[a] and you can help them any time you want.(A) But you will not always have me. 8 She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.(B)
