31 But Peter[a] insisted emphatically,[b] “Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.

32 Then[c] they went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus[d] said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 He took Peter, James,[e] and John with him, and became very troubled and distressed.
