A Question about David’s Son^(A)

³⁵ While Jesus was teaching in the Temple, he asked, “How can the scribes say that the Messiah^[a] is David’s son? ³⁶ David himself said by the Holy Spirit,

³⁷ David himself calls him ‘Lord,’ so how can he be his son?” And the large crowd kept listening to him with delight.
