Mark 11:18-20

18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it,[a] and began considering[b] how they could destroy him. For they were afraid of him because the whole crowd was astounded by his teaching. 19 And when evening came they went out of the city.
The Barren Fig Tree Withered
20 And as they[c] passed by early in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.

18 The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him,(A) because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.(B)
19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples[a] went out of the city.(C)
20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.
