Ang Pulong Sang Dios
May Tagsa ka Tion ang Tanan nga Buluhaton
3 May tagsa ka tion ang tanan nga buluhaton diri sa kalibutan:
2 May tion sa pagkatawo kag may tion man sa pagkapatay,
may tion sa pagtanom kag may tion man sa pag-ani,
3 may tion sa pagpatay kag may tion man sa pagbulong,
may tion sa pagguba kag may tion man sa pagpatindog,
4 may tion sa paghibi kag may tion man sa pagkadlaw,
may tion sa pagpangasubo kag may tion man sa pagsinaot,
5 may tion sa paglapta sang mga bato kag may tion man sa pagtipon sini,
may tion sa pagkitaay,[a] kag may tion man sa pagbulagay,
6 may tion sa pagpangita kag may tion man sa pagdula,
may tion sa pagtago kag may tion man sa pagpilak,
7 may tion sa paggisi kag may tion man sa pagtahi,
may tion sa paghipos kag may tion man sa paghambal,
8 may tion sa paghigugma kag may tion man sa pagkaugot,
may tion sa pag-inaway kag may tion man sa pag-abyanay.
9 Kon ang ini nga mga tion gintalana na sang Dios, ano bala ang pulos sang pagpangabudlay sang tawo? 10 Nakita ko ang mga buluhaton nga ginhatag sang Dios nga kabalak-an sang tawo. 11 Kag ini tanan gintalana sang Dios nga matabo sa husto nga tion. Ginhatagan niya kita sang handom nga mahibaluan ang palaabuton, pero indi gid naton matungkad ang iya mga ginhimo halin sang umpisa hasta sa katapusan. 12 Nahibaluan ko nga ang labing maayo nga himuon sang tawo samtang buhi pa siya amo ang pagkalipay, ang paghimo sang maayo, 13 ang pagkaon kag pag-inom, kag ang pagpangalipay sa iya ginpangabudlayan. Ini nga mga butang bugay sang Dios. 14 Nahibaluan ko nga ang tanan nga ginahimo sang Dios magapadayon hasta san-o, kag indi ini maliwat. Ginahimo ini sang Dios agod magtahod ang tawo sa iya. 15 Ang nagakatabo subong kag ang matabo sa ulihi natabo na sang una. Ginaliwat-liwat lang sang Dios ang mga nagakatabo.
16 Nakita ko man diri sa kalibutan nga ang kalautan amo ang nagaluntad imbes ang hustisya kag pagkamatarong. 17 Nagsiling ako sa akon kaugalingon, “Hukman sang Dios ang matarong kag ang malaot nga mga tawo, kay may gintalana siya nga tion sa tagsa ka buluhaton. 18 Ginatestingan sang Dios ang mga tawo agod ipakita sa ila nga pareho lang sila sa sapat. 19 Pareho man lang ang dangatan sang tawo kag sang sapat; pareho sila nga mapatay. Pareho man lang sila nga may ginhawa, gani ang tawo wala sing bintaha sa sapat. Matuod gid man nga ang tanan wala sing pulos. 20 Pareho lang ang padulungan sang tanan nga buhi nga tinuga. Sila tanan halin sa duta, kag sa duta man sila magabalik. 21 Wala sing may nakahibalo kon ang espiritu sang tawo[b] nagasaka paibabaw kag ang espiritu sang sapat[c] nagapanaog sa idalom sang duta.” 22 Gani nareyalisar ko nga ang labing maayo nga himuon sang tawo amo ang pagpangalipay sa iya ginpangabudlayan, kay para gid man ina sa iya. Wala sing may makasugid sa tawo kon ano ang matabo sa tapos siya mapatay.[d]

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

A Time for Everything
3 There is a time(A) for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,(B)
3 a time to kill(C) and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent(D) and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What do workers gain from their toil?(E) 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race.(F) 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time.(G) He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom(H) what God has done from beginning to end.(I) 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink,(J) and find satisfaction(K) in all their toil—this is the gift of God.(L) 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.(M)
15 Whatever is has already been,(N)
and what will be has been before;(O)
and God will call the past to account.[b]
16 And I saw something else under the sun:
In the place of judgment—wickedness was there,
in the place of justice—wickedness was there.
17 I said to myself,
“God will bring into judgment(P)
both the righteous and the wicked,
for there will be a time for every activity,
a time to judge every deed.”(Q)
18 I also said to myself, “As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals.(R) 19 Surely the fate of human beings(S) is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath[c]; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. 20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.(T) 21 Who knows if the human spirit rises upward(U) and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?”
22 So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work,(V) because that is their lot.(W) For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?

The God-Given Task

14 I know that whatever God does,
It shall be forever.
(M)Nothing can be added to it,
And nothing taken from it.
God does it, that men should fear before Him.

And what is to be has already been;
And God [b]requires an account of [c]what is past.
Injustice Seems to Prevail
16 Moreover (O)I saw under the sun:
In the place of [d]judgment,
Wickedness was there;
And in the place of righteousness,
[e]Iniquity was there.
17 I said in my heart,
(P)“God shall judge the righteous and the wicked,
For there is a time there for every [f]purpose and for every work.”
18 I said in my heart, “Concerning the condition of the sons of men, God tests them, that they may see that they themselves are like animals.” 19 (Q)For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot (Q)find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. 12 I perceived that there is (R)nothing better for them than to be joyful and to (S)do good as long as they live; 13 also (T)that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is (U)God's gift to man.
14 I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; (V)nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him. 15 That which is, (W)already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God (X)seeks what has been driven away.[a]
From Dust to Dust
16 Moreover, (Y)I saw under the sun that in the place of justice, even (Z)there was wickedness, and in the place of righteousness, even there was wickedness. 17 I said in my heart, (AA)God will judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is (AB)a time for every matter and for every work. 18 I said in my heart with regard to the children of man that God is testing them that they may see that they themselves are but (AC)beasts. 19 (AD)For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity.[b] 20 All go to one place.
