55 आँगन के बीच उन्होंने आग सुलगाई और एक साथ नीचे बैठ गये। पतरस भी वही उन्हीं में बैठा था। 56 आग के प्रकाश में एक दासी ने उसे वहाँ बैठे देखा। उसने उस पर दृष्टि गढ़ाते हुए कहा, “यह आदमी भी उसके साथ था।”
57 किन्तु पतरस ने इन्कार करते हुए कहा, “हे स्त्री, मैं उसे नहीं जानता।”

56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
