⁵ And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town ^(A)shake off the dust from your feet ^(B)as a testimony ^(C)against them.”

⁶ And when they opposed and reviled him, ^(A)he shook out his garments and said to them, ^(B)“Your blood be on your own heads! ^(C)I am innocent. ^(D)From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

⁵¹ But they ^(A)shook off the dust from their feet against them and went to Iconium.

¹¹ And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to you, when you leave, ^(A)shake off the dust that is on your feet ^(B)as a testimony against them.”

¹⁴ And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, ^(A)shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. ¹⁵ Truly, I say to you, ^(B)it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for ^(C)the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

^16 (A)“The one who hears you hears me, and ^(B)the one who rejects you rejects me, and ^(C)the one who rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

¹⁰ But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, ^11 (A)‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that ^(B)the kingdom of God has come near.’ ¹² I tell you, ^(C)it will be more bearable on ^(D)that day for Sodom than for that town.

⁵³ But ^(A)the people did not receive him, because ^(B)his face was set toward Jerusalem. ⁵⁴ And when his disciples James and John saw it, they said, “Lord, do you want us to tell ^(C)fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”^{[a] 55} But he turned and rebuked them.^{[b] 56} And they went on to another village.

⁴⁸ and said to them, ^(A)“Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and ^(B)whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For ^(C)he who is least among you all is the one who is great.”
