Luke 8:40-42

⁴⁰ On the other side of the lake the crowds received him with open arms, for they had been waiting for him.

⁴¹ And now a man named Jairus, a leader of a Jewish synagogue, came and fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come home with him, ⁴² for his only child was dying, a little girl twelve years old. Jesus went with him, pushing through the crowds.
