²² When Jesus ^(A)perceived their thoughts, he answered them, “Why do you question in your hearts?

³⁸ And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

³ But Peter said, “Ananias, why has ^(A)Satan filled your heart to lie ^(B)to the Holy Spirit and ^(C)to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land?

¹⁷ And ^(A)Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? ^(B)Do you not yet perceive ^(C)or understand? ^(D)Are your hearts hardened?

^25 (A)Knowing their thoughts, ^(B)he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.

⁴ But Jesus, ^(A)knowing^[a] their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

¹⁸ “For I know^[a] their works and their thoughts, and the time is coming^{[b] (A)}to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and shall see my glory,

²³ and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he ^(A)who searches mind and heart, and ^(B)I will give to each of you according to your works.

¹² For ^(A)the word of God is living and ^(B)active, ^(C)sharper than any ^(D)two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and ^(E)discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
