³⁰ But he passed through the midst of them and went on his way.^(A)

³⁹ Then they tried to arrest him again, but he escaped from their hands.^(A)

⁵⁹ So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.^(A)

⁶ When Jesus^[a] said to them, “I am he,”^[b] they stepped back and fell to the ground. ⁷ Again he asked them, “Whom are you looking for?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”^[c](A)
