The Beginning of the Galilean Ministry

¹⁴ Then Jesus, in the power of the Spirit, returned to Galilee, and a report about him spread through all the surrounding region.^(A)

³⁷ That message spread throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John announced:

Jesus Ministers to Crowds of People

²³ Jesus^[a] went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news^[b] of the kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness among the people.^{(A) 24} So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought to him all the sick, those who were afflicted with various diseases and pains, people possessed by demons or having epilepsy or afflicted with paralysis, and he cured them.^{(B) 25} And great crowds followed him from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.^(C)

Jesus Begins His Ministry in Galilee

¹² Now when Jesus^[a] heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee.

³⁷ And news about him began to reach every place in the region.^(A)

²⁸ At once his fame began to spread throughout the surrounding region of Galilee.

Jesus Returns to Galilee

⁴³ When the two days were over, he went from that place to Galilee^(A)

¹⁴ Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the good news^[a] of^[b] God^(A)

²⁶ And the report of this spread through all of that district.
