⁸ Therefore produce fruits that are consistent with repentance, and ^(A)do not start saying ^[a]to yourselves, ‘^(B)We have Abraham as our father,’ for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children for Abraham.

¹⁶ And this woman, ^(A)a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom ^(B)Satan has bound for ^[a]eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this restraint on the Sabbath day?”

¹⁶ For this reason it is ^[a]by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with ^(A)grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to ^(B)all the ^[b]descendants, not only to ^[c]those who are of the Law, but also to ^[d](C)those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is ^(D)the father of us all,

⁷ Therefore, recognize that ^(A)it is those who are of faith who are ^(B)sons of Abraham.
