Luke 24:45-49

⁴⁵ Then He ^(A)opened their ^[a]minds to understand the Scriptures, ⁴⁶ and He said to them, “^(B)Thus it is written, that the ^[b]Christ would suffer and ^(C)rise again from the dead the third day, ⁴⁷ and that ^(D)repentance ^[c]for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed ^[d]in His name to ^(E)all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. ⁴⁸ You are ^(F)witnesses of these things. ⁴⁹ And behold, ^(G)I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but ^(H)you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
