Luke 24:27-47
English Standard Version
27 And (A)beginning with (B)Moses and (C)all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 So they drew near to the village to which they were going. (D)He acted as if he were going farther, 29 but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and (E)the day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at table with them, he took the bread and (F)blessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31 (G)And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And (H)he vanished from their sight. 32 They said to each other, (I)“Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he (J)opened to us the Scriptures?” 33 And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem. And they (K)found the eleven and (L)those who were with them gathered together, 34 saying, “The Lord has risen indeed, and (M)has appeared to Simon!” 35 Then they told what had happened on the road, and (N)how he was known to them in (O)the breaking of the bread.
Jesus Appears to His Disciples
36 As they were talking about these things, (P)Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!” 37 But they were (Q)startled and (R)frightened and (S)thought they saw a spirit. 38 And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. (T)Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” 40 And when he had said this, (U)he showed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they still disbelieved (V)for joy and were marveling, (W)he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish,[a] 43 and he took it and ate before them.
44 Then he said to them, (X)“These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, (Y)that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then (Z)he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus (AA)it is written, (AB)that the Christ should suffer and on the third day (AC)rise from the dead, 47 and that (AD)repentance for[b] the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed (AE)in his name (AF)to all nations, (AG)beginning from Jerusalem.

The Resurrection of Christ
15 Now I would remind you, brothers,[a] of the gospel (A)I preached to you, which you received, (B)in which you stand, 2 and by which (C)you are being saved, if you (D)hold fast to the word I preached to you—(E)unless you believed in vain.
3 For (F)I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died (G)for our sins (H)in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised (I)on the third day (J)in accordance with the Scriptures,
