21 He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts in the treasury. ² He also saw a poor widow putting in two mites,^{[a] 3} and He said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. ⁴ For all these out of their abundance have put in their gifts for God. But she out of her poverty has put in all the living she had.”
