³⁸ At that very moment,^[a] she came up and began to thank God and to speak about him to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.^[b](A)

²¹ But we were hoping that he was the one who was about to redeem^(A) Israel. Besides all this, it’s the third day^(B) since these things happened.

²³ Not only that,^(A) but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the firstfruits^(B)—we also groan within ourselves,^(C) eagerly waiting for adoption,^(D) the redemption of our bodies.^(E)

¹¹ Besides this, since you know the time, it is already the hour^(A) for you^[a] to wake up from sleep,^(B) because now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.^(C)
