¹⁹ But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.^(A)

⁵¹ Then he went down to Nazareth with them^(A) and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.^(B)

⁶⁶ Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, “What then is this child going to be?” For the Lord’s hand was with him.^(A)

¹² David took these words to heart and was very much afraid of Achish king of Gath.

¹¹ His brothers were jealous of him,^(A) but his father kept the matter in mind.^(B)

⁴³ And they were all amazed at the greatness of God.

Jesus Predicts His Death a Second Time

While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus did, he said to his disciples, ⁴⁴ “Listen carefully to what I am about to tell you: The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.”^(A)
