¹⁰ For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.’^(A)

The Parable of the Ten Minas

¹¹ As^(B) they were listening to this, he went on to tell a parable because he was near Jerusalem,^(C) and they thought the kingdom of God was going to appear straight away.^(D)

¹² Therefore he said, ‘A nobleman travelled to a far country to receive for himself authority to be king^[a] and then to return.
