⁵ He said to them, “Which of you, if your son^[a] or an ox would fall into a well on a Sabbath day, would not immediately pull him out?”

⁶ And they could not reply to these things.

⁷ When he noticed how they were selecting the places of honor, he told the invited guests a parable.
