11 It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.” ²He said to them,

“When you pray, ^[a]say:
‘^[b]Father, ^[c]hallowed be Your name.
^[d]Your kingdom come.

‘Give us each day our ^[e]daily bread.
