Luke 1:77-79
Good News Translation
77 to tell his people that they will be saved
by having their sins forgiven.
78 Our God is merciful and tender.
He will cause the bright dawn of salvation to rise on us
79 (A)and to shine from heaven on all those who live in the dark shadow of death,
to guide our steps into the path of peace.”

77 to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,(A)
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun(B) will come to us from heaven
79 to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,(C)

whereby (C)the sunrise shall (D)visit us[a] (E)from on high
