¹¹ An angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right hand side of the incense-altar. ¹² Zechariah was troubled and terror-struck when he saw the angel.

¹³ But the angel said to him: “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah: your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
