18 «El Espíritu del Señor está sobre mí,
    por cuanto me ha ungido
    para anunciar buenas noticias a los pobres.
Me ha enviado a proclamar libertad a los cautivos
    y dar vista a los ciegos,
a poner en libertad a los oprimidos,
19     a pregonar el año del favor del Señor».[a]

20 Luego enrolló el libro, se lo devolvió al ayudante y se sentó. Todos los que estaban en la sinagoga lo miraban detenidamente

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,(A)
    because he has anointed me
    to proclaim good news(B) to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
    and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
19     to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”[a](C)

20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down.(D) The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.
