Leviticus 3

Het dankoffer

3 ‘Als iemand een dankoffer aan de Here wil brengen, kan hij dat doen met een stier of een koe, maar het dier moet helemaal zonder gebreken zijn als het aan de Here wordt geofferd. 2 De man die het dier brengt, moet zijn hand op de kop van het dier leggen en het bij de ingang van de tabernakel slachten. Daarna zullen Aärons zonen, de priesters, het bloed van het dier aan alle kanten van het altaar sprenkelen.

3-5 Het dankoffer zal een brandoffer voor de Here zijn. Het vet dat de ingewanden bedekt, de twee nieren en het vet dat daaraan zit en het vet dat aan de lendenen zit en het aanhangsel van de lever zullen de priesters, de zonen van Aäron, voor de Here verbranden. In zoʼn brandoffer verheugt de Here Zich. 6 Als een geit of een schaap als dankoffer wordt gebracht aan de Here, moet het zonder gebreken zijn en mag het zowel mannelijk als vrouwelijk zijn, ram of ooi, bok of geit. 7,8 Als het een schaap is, moet de man die het brengt zijn hand op de kop leggen en het dier bij de ingang van de tabernakel slachten. De priesters zullen het bloed aan alle kanten van het altaar sprenkelen. Ook dit dankoffer zal een brandoffer voor de Here zijn. 9-11 Het vet, de staart, dicht bij de ruggegraat afgesneden, het vet dat de ingewanden bedekt, de twee nieren met het lendenvet eraan en het aanhangsel van de lever zal hij ook offeren. Dit zal het brandoffer voor de Here zijn.

12 Als iemand een geit brengt als een offer voor de Here, 13 moet hij zijn hand op de kop leggen en het dier bij de ingang van de tabernakel slachten. De priesters zullen het bloed aan alle kanten van het altaar sprenkelen 14 en op het altaar, als een brandoffer aan de Here, het volgende offeren: het vet dat de ingewanden bedekt, 15,16 de twee nieren met het lendenvet eraan en het aanhangsel van de lever. Dit brandoffer zal aangenaam zijn voor de Here. Al het vet is van de Here.

17 Dit is een eeuwige wet voor het hele land en alle geslachten. U mag absoluut geen vet of bloed eten.’

The Fellowship Offering

3 “‘If your offering is a fellowship offering,(A) and you offer an animal from the herd, whether male or female, you are to present before the Lord an animal without defect.(B) 2 You are to lay your hand on the head(C) of your offering and slaughter it(D) at the entrance to the tent of meeting.(E) Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash(F) the blood against the sides(G) of the altar.(H) 3 From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the Lord: the internal organs(I) and all the fat(J) that is connected to them, 4 both kidneys(K) with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. 5 Then Aaron’s sons(L) are to burn it on the altar(M) on top of the burnt offering(N) that is lying on the burning wood;(O) it is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.(P)

6 “‘If you offer an animal from the flock as a fellowship offering(Q) to the Lord, you are to offer a male or female without defect. 7 If you offer a lamb,(R) you are to present it before the Lord,(S) 8 lay your hand on its head and slaughter it(T) in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar. 9 From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering(U) to the Lord: its fat, the entire fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, 10 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. 11 The priest shall burn them on the altar(V) as a food offering(W) presented to the Lord.(X)

12 “‘If your offering is a goat,(Y) you are to present it before the Lord, 13 lay your hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splash(Z) its blood against the sides of the altar.(AA) 14 From what you offer you are to present this food offering to the Lord: the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, 15 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys.(AB) 16 The priest shall burn them on the altar(AC) as a food offering,(AD) a pleasing aroma.(AE) All the fat(AF) is the Lord’s.(AG)

17 “‘This is a lasting ordinance(AH) for the generations to come,(AI) wherever you live:(AJ) You must not eat any fat or any blood.(AK)’”

3 And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the Lord.

2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

3 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the Lord; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

4 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.

5 And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.

6 And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the Lord be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.

7 If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the Lord.

8 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar.

9 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the Lord; the fat thereof, and the whole rump, it shall he take off hard by the backbone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

10 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.

11 And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto the Lord.

12 And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the Lord.

13 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.

14 And he shall offer thereof his offering, even an offering made by fire unto the Lord; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

15 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.

16 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the Lord's.

17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.

6 ‘If his offering as a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord is of the flock, whether male or female, (J)he shall offer it without blemish. 7 If he offers a (K)lamb as his offering, then he shall (L)offer it (M)before the Lord. 8 And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of meeting; and Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle its blood all around on the altar.

9 ‘Then he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offering, as an offering made by fire to the Lord, its fat and the whole fat tail which he shall remove close to the backbone. And the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, 10 the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; 11 and the priest shall burn them on the altar as (N)food, an offering made by fire to the Lord.

12 “If his offering is a goat, then he shall offer it before the Lord 13 and lay his hand on its head and kill it in front of the tent of meeting, and the sons of Aaron shall throw its blood against the sides of the altar. 14 Then he shall offer from it, as his offering for a food offering to the Lord, the fat covering the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails 15 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove (L)with the kidneys. 16 And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a (M)food offering with a pleasing aroma. (N)All fat is the Lord's. 17 It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, in all your dwelling places, that you eat neither (O)fat nor (P)blood.”
